Submit your manuscript to a journal/国際誌に投稿

"I have a dream." And "I" have a dream, too.
Since we want to know information about what' is going on in Japan, I hope many researchers here (and maybe in Russia?) submit their manuscript to international journals. If they were accepted, their information would be possibly imported to Japan. I want to read it anyway.

And if they could, I wish they can choose journals with high Impact Factors for their submission. Normally it may not so cool that authors care only about Impact Factors. But this time I want their manuscripts to be cited a lot to enable us to read them. I hope they can be listed up in PubMed as many as possible, too.

For that, I don't want authors to take a time for the submission. I want to write some tips for it.

Covering Letter
What you need to write in covering letter should be explained in "Author's guideline." You have to read it carefully. But normally, requirements are very simple. Here are some examples.

Let's clarify that it's your original article and has not been submitted to any other journals.
Multiple submission is supposed to be misbehavior. And you are not going to give publishers trouble when it is accepted either. Because you know duplicate publication is very disrespectable and, I guess, it's almost a violation. You can't say it happened accidentally. No way.

Make sure that all authors have agreed with content in your MS.
What are you going to do if your co-author began to say, "Hey I don't want put my name on this MS, delete my name!" after publishing the MS. You are in big trouble. Careful!!

You gave informed consent to all subjects.
This is a basic concept, too. You also want to protect their anonymity as an expert.

Inform their name(s) when you got any financial support.
Just state who support you with an appreciation. When you have nothing to declare, I think you can simply say there is no conflict of interest.

You completed your research under protocol in a place you did your research.
Let them know your research is just fine.

You can state this kind of stuff first, then you can write your personal though or appeal your MS in a covering letter if you want to.

Format.
This answer should be always in "Author's guideline," too. If you couldn't find it, you would contact their customer service. And there is one thing to be careful, "Abstract" and "Text" have sometimes different sections. Don't ever create a format just reading "Abstract."

You need to be patient
You never know how long peer review process will be. Don't expect them to facilitate rapid peer review when you are not sure if they have such system. Begging for it is kind of silly, right?

But you know what? It's up to you though.

「私には夢がある」ならぬ希望がある。
日本（やロシア？）の研究者の方々に色々な研究などを国際誌に投稿していただきたい。逆輸入の形で読みたいし、知りたい。できればインパクトファクターが高いものに投稿し、がっつり引用されていただきたい。通常ＩＦばかり気にする投稿者はいかがなものかと思われるかもしれないが、この件に関してはできるだけ広く情報共有・開示？されていただきたいのだ。PubMedにもしっかり掲載されていただければ抄録だけでもたくさんの人が読めることになる！

で、とりあえず手続きがめんどーくさいという人のためにチップなんぞを書いてみました。

カバーレター
通常、記入必須事項は投稿規定にあるはずなのでそれに準ずればよいのでは。
基本よく求められるのは下記でしょうか。


・オリジナル原稿であり他に投稿などしとりません。
（言わずもがなの最低限のマナーと思うんですが、とりあえずそれを守っていることの表明って感じでせうか。二重投稿、挙句の果てに二重掲載はそうっとうなマナー違反っす。）


・ 共著者全員この内容に納得してます。
（採択され掲載されたあかつきに、よもや、共著者から名前を消してくれなんて発言ありませんよねぇ、てなとこじゃないかと。）

・ インフォームド・コンセントはもちろんしております。
（対象者への配慮、匿名表記守ってないわけないっすよね。）

・Financial support(s)の明記。
（これまた基本マナーですが、特にないときは相反利益なし～と一言添えればよいんじゃないかと。）

・ 研究が行われたところのプロトコルの規定内で行ってます。ましてやヘルシンキ宣言なんか超えてません。
（基本すぎてわすれそうですが、述べておけばよいのでは？）

で、こういうのを述べたあとに自分の論文内容のアピールしたければすればいんじゃないかと。。。逆にいえば必須事項さえあればアピールするかどうかは著者次第なんじゃないかと思ったりします。

体裁
これはジャーナルごとに違うので、何はともあれ投稿規定をご一読！しかないが、注意すべくは抄録と本文のセクションわけが異なるものも多々あるということ。抄録の体裁だけ読んで、本文を作成しないことが大事っす。投稿規定にこれが表記されてない場合はカスタマーサービスにでも問い合わせたらよいんじゃないかと。。。めんどーですが。

忍耐！
全体的な査読にどのくらい時間がかかるかなんてのはわからないんじゃないかと。最速の査読コースが頼めるはず、なんてことを確かめもせずあてにするべからずです！
