-What was different today going into the free skate as suppose to do the short program?
I was myself. I didn't tense up. I was on my knee. I just skated like I trained. I skated how I knew how to skate. I didn't like anything else affect me. I was just there on the ice practicing by myself.
-What did your coach say to you after the short program to have you refocus for today's skate.
They told me how to get angry. I was very tentative on the short program, very out of my knees, very stiff. And they told me how to get angry. I had to get out of there. I had to do it. It matters it's your championships. That's what I did.
-Absolutely you did. Now looking forward. What can you take away from the whole experience you can sum up as a learning experience.
As a learning experience, now I know it will be kind of boost because I know no matter what kind of short program I have, no matter what happens, I can get out of there. I can do the programs that I know how to skate. And now that I know I competed the long program like that. I think I’m ready for every competition to come.
