LOVE FOR FIGURE SKATING AND MUSIC

フィギュアスケート、映画、好きなものについてまったり書いています。

Rochette seems to do a show on 16th which is tomorrow!

Watching these interviews, as some people also might think, I felt she would
not come back to competitions any more.

Sigh.ため息

**As there might be some words I didn't catch correctly, I appreciate it if
you could kindly let me know.

January 3, 2011

-This morning on today at the rink, the beautiful inspiring Canadian figure
skater, Joannie Rochette who took on the bronze medal at the Olympic which was
gamed at Vancouver just days after the tragic loss of her mom. Joannie, it's so nice to have you here.

Thank you.

-A year ago, you were training for Vancouver. Now you stand as the bronze medalist. As I said, how was your life changed since Vancouver?

I've got so many different opportunities. It was a tough Olympic games for me.
But I've got involved with so many high charities and it's been helping me.
I mean I'm still skating. I've been doing a lot more shows. I'm going to do
"Stars on Ice" here in the US sponsored by Smacker's. I'm doing shows around
the world. I'm really enjoying myself in this. It's great. I feel so lucky to
be able to do what I love as a job.

-People were so moved by your performance at Olympic two days after your mom
passed away from a heart attack. And we’ve wondered where the strength came
from you to perform.

I think everyone has that strength. They just don't have a chance, or not a
chance, but they don't have a fortune to prove it. I think just the sport
helped me get out of it and it really helped me get out there to perform.
And especially when I got there for practice, I saw other girls at there doing
triple lutz. I looked at them. Ok I'm back in a game. I think the sport really
saved me.

-And your mom helped you to get the point as well, which I'm sure something you were thinking as you skated. You are taking a part in NBC special called "Skate
for the heart" which raises the awareness about heart disease. What is a mean
to you to be in a part of that.

Well, it's part of healing process for me to be able to give back and help
raise the awareness about heart disease. I lost my mother to heart attack two
days before I competed at Vancouver. And if I can help another women, they have
similar symptoms and just consult the doctors, or you know just be overrun,
save a life, my goal will be achieved.

-We will see you at Sochi.

I don't know yet about this. Maybe I'm still skating. But I don't know yet if I want to do more competitions or more shows. But skating is still my passion.

Until then we want to see you skate. So, you get ready. I'm going to remind the
audience. Jonny, you can catch her "skate for the heart" on January 16, the 4pm
ET right here on NBC. Now, performing to "My Immortal" by Evanescence. Ladies
and gentlemen, Joanni Rochett.

"Don't stop Believing Holiday Show" on December 11, 2010

At Palm Beach Ice Work, welcome 2010 Olympic Bronze medalist, Joannie
Rochette, to their facility today for 2nd annual "Don't stop Believing Holiday
Show". The show is played for perform since the children learned skate programs
with extremely skilled skaters who compete international level. Rochette also
performed herself of the program very similar to the one she skated as a kid.

"It's fun to be work to give back and share my experience with those kids,
skate with them. It's also good for me. Because I remember watching them how I
started skating to in, why I loved it so much at the beginning. And I see their sparkles in their eyes when they were on the ice. It's really blower thing all
for me to be here and see those kids."
