Although I love Herman Miller furniture, I can't afford as much of it as I would like. That was how I started a conversation with their President in Tokyo. Their reply was perfect - "Funiture is an investment, not a purchase"! My reply, "I'd love to invest,but...!!"
However, discussions with them today about research they have carried out into how people work - their thinking, their motivators, how they create and collaborate and has lead to a collaboration between them and Talk2-UK.
I am excited because this provides me with an excellent platform to develop communication within multicultural organizations from a benchmark of how our environment influences the way we all work. After talking about it with clients, I now have the evidence to back this up. Hopefully a substantial discount on Herman Miller furniture for my future business space.
