Hello, there. Welcome to my blog page.
My name is Takeru.
For those of you who is visiting for the first time, I'd like to introduce myself.
I work as a salesman for a Japanese professional basketball team.
In this blog page, I share all sorts of things I find valuable in life; my philosophy, daily excercise routine, how I learn foreign languages and so on.
Today, I'm going to share my new favorite book, "The Mamba Mentality: How I Play" by Kobe Bryant.
Although a Japanese-translated book has been published, I read the original version.
So I found it only right to write a review in English.
Anyway, without further ado, let's get right into it.
"The Mamba Mentality: How I Play" is a book published in 2018, written by the late NBA star Kobe Bryant.
Followed by Paul Gasol's forward and Phil Jackson's introduction, the book starts where Kobe explains his drive to be the best and how he viewed the process to become it.
Then, he goes on to explain his workout routine in the next chapter.
How starting a day early had an effect on balancing his professional career and private life in the next section.
As above, the book is composed of short chapters of different elements of his 20-year professional basketball career.
Not to mention the beautiful photographs shot by hall of fame photographer Andrew D. Bernstein shown between the sections.
I would recommend this book to basketball fans, especially to those who knew Kobe before he left the court.
Even one of the biggest Kobe fans like myself would find something new by reading this masterpiece.
At the end of the day, it is the only book about Kobe that he left for us so it's worth a read isn't it?
May he rest in peace.
