御本社の裏へまわって、奥之院へ。
From the back of the main Shrine,
we went to Okuno-in.
急な階段を上ると到着します。
At the top of the stairs, there is a small temple.
This is Okuno-in.
不動明王がまつられています。
It enshrines Fudo myoo.
エネルギーは神々しく、どっしりとしています。
I felt a powerful energy.
この先には浅間神社。
浅間神社の神様は、富士山に鎮座する
「このはなさくやひめ」です。
At the back of the small temple,
there is Sengen Shrine dedicated to "Konohana sakuya hime".
The Goddess is a dａughter of the God of mountains.
It is said that she is enshrined in Mt.Fuji.
富士山に登るということは、
昔の人々にとって、
特別な意義のあることでした。
登れない人は、こちらから
富士山を遥拝したのだそうです。
In ancient times,
climbing Mt.Fuji had a special meaning.
Peple who couldn't climb
worshiped the mountain from here.
さらにここから15分ほど歩くと山頂へ。
途中の山道には、こんな風にパワフルな木々が
あります。
It takes about 15 minutes from here
to the mountain top.
On the way to there,
we can see powerful trees like this.
山頂からは、東京都内をこんな風に一望できます。
From the top of the mountain,
we can overlook Tokyo.
実は二度目に上った日、
東京では空が暗くなり大風が吹いていたそうで、
山頂からの眺めもこんな風に真っ白。
Actually, ｏｎ the day I climbed the mountain
for the second time,
the sky turned dark and the wind blew heavily in Tokyo.
The view from the mountain top was suｍoggy like this.
「お空をお掃除してくれない？」と
この子にお願いしたくなりました。
I wanted to ask him,
"Could you clean up the sky、ｐｌｅａｓｅ?"
高尾山にはたくさん石像があるのですが、
どの子も、こんな風に帽子をかぶせてもらったり
マフラーをさせてもらっていました。
On the mountain trails,
there are a lot of stone statues,
and people put caps, scarves or aprons on them.
I guess local people made them for the statues.
地元の方々の愛を感じます。
It impressed me that people loved them so much.
