ここに到着する頃には、
高尾山のパワフルなエネルギーで
身体はポカポカ。
When I arrived here,
I was warmed by the powerful
energy of Mt.Takao.
そして実感したのは、高尾山は
厄災から江戸を護ってくれる
聖地なのだということ。
And I realized that Mt.takao
is the sacred place guarding
Edo(Tokyo) from disasters.
富士山から江戸城へと続く龍脈の
中継地点に高尾山はあたるのだそうで、
なるほど。パワー強力なはずです。
I heard that Mt. Takaois located on the
Dragon Pulse from Mt.Fuji
to the imperial palace in Tokyo.
It encourages the power of Mt.Takao, I guess.
ところで、こちらのご本尊は「飯綱権現」。
神仏習合の神様だそうで、
御本堂（仏式）と御本社（神式）があります。
By the way,
the principal object of worship at this temple
is "Izuna Gongen", the God of the Syncretization
of Shinto with Buddhism.
So the temple's main hall is in the Buddhist style
and the Shrine is in the Shinto style.
こちらは御本堂。
This is the main hall.
左右には天狗さまたち。
On either side, there are the long-nosed goblins.
飯綱権現の眷属（けんぞく）で、
災難を取り除き福を招く神通力を持つと
信じられてきました。
It has been believed
that the long-nosed goblins
are the family members of
Izuna Gongen,
and have the power to
prevent disaster, and bring fortune.
神仏習合のお山らしく、境内には狛犬が。
Usually temples don't have the guardiandogs,
but Yakuou-in is the temple of
the Syncretization of Shinto with Buddhism.
So there are guardian dogs.
狛犬を眺めていると背後から
お坊さんが練習するほら貝の音が聞こえてきました。
When I said hello to the dog,
I heard the sound of the conch shell.
I thought that a monk was practicing it.
高尾山、とても賑やかで不思議なパワースポットです。
Mt. Takao is really lively and mysterious.
