Cash Money Records, Lil Wayne's longtime recording home, announced today (September 15) that they have re-signed the superstar rapper to a multi-album deal.

Lil Wayne launched his career at Cash Money in his early teens and has released six albums via the label. His recent album, The Carter III, is currently this year's highest selling rap album with 2.4 million copies sold.

The label revealed that it's new deal with Lil Wayne is a mutli-million agreement but did not reveal the specific amount.

“Working with our son, Lil Wayne, throughout the many years has helped us build Cash Money into the empire it is today. Cash Money is a family and Lil' Wayne has been part of our family since day one,” said Bryan "Birdman" Williams, co-founder of Cash Money Records via a statement.

“Now the partnership between Cash Money and Lil Wayne will continue, with a multi-album pact that takes them into the future together,” he added.

Lil Wayne has already begun working on Carter IV and will be releasing the third installment of his Dedication mixtape series later this year with DJ Drama TRONG>.

In related news, BET announced its nominees for its third annual Hip Hop Awards today and Lil Wayne leads the list with 12 nominations which include 'Lyricist of the Year' and 'MVP of the Year'.

The 2008 BET Hip Hop Awards will air on October 23 at 8:00 p.m. and will be hosted by comedian/actor Katt Williams.

DR DRE IS HELPING ANOTHER ARTIST MAKE A COMEBACK

Queen Latifah says she is coming back, into music that is. Latifah recently told Rollingstone that she will be releasing an album this December. Queen Latifah says the album will be produced by Dr. Dre and LL Cool J, “They pretty much did the whole album,” she said. Missy Elliot and Swizz Beatz are also scheduled to produce the album.

Although it doesn’t officially have a title yet, Queen Latifah says that she is thinking about calling it “The L Word,” after the lesbian-themed drama on Showtime. “Since people want to play games, I like to jab back sometimes just for fun, but I’m like, ‘Nah, that’s too much energy wasted.’”

Bouncer In Lil Kim Club Murder Case Pleads Not G

After initially confessing to the murder of a woman during Lil Kim's birthday party, a New York bouncer has reportedly changed his mind and entered a not guilty plea.

As previously reported to us, Ingrid Rivera (a die had Lil Kim supporter) attended Lil Kim's birthday party at Spotlight Live. Her body was found in a utility closet on the roof of the club two days later on the night of August 6.

A day after the gruesome discovery, Sayed Rahman, a bouncer at the club, confessed to striking Rivera on the back of the head with a metal pipe.

He told police that the attack was prompted by her rejection of his sexual advances.

According to amNewYork, Rahman showed up in Manhattan's State Supreme Court yesterday (September 15) and plead not guilty to second-degree murder charges.

Prosecuting attorney Anne Schwarts said that Rahman's confession was captured on videotape but Rahman's lawyer, Peter Frankel, says that he has no knowledge of any "so-called confession." He offered no further comment on the case.

Nate Dogg Stable After Second Stroke

TMZ has learned hip-hop legend Nate Dogg is still hangin' on after suffering a stroke 11 days ago -- his second in the last year.

We're told Nate is in stable condition in a hospital ward, but is using an assisted breathing tube -- which is not required but makes breathing easier for him. Despite other reports, Dogg, who is currently sedated, did NOT suffer any brain damage.

According to our sources it's too early to tell how this stroke will impact the use of his limbs (his arm and leg were affected from the first stroke) -- but there isn't much movement below his neck at this time.

Nate's due in court on the 24th to face felony charges after he allegedly made death threats to his estranged wife.
