Imagine this scene, people are gathered in front of a single TV set of a sari-sari store.Guess what they are watching?Filipino drama?Then you're wrong.They're watching a K-drama.It seems that a virus coming from Seoul, South Korea entered their body and made them gaga over these kind of shows.Old or young,they loved these kind of dramas and I admit that I was also hooked by it.
K-drama is a short term for Korean dramas.I do not know why I'm drawn to these kind of shows but they gave me that "kilig factor" everytime I watch them.Plus the fact that the actors and actresses are handsome And beautiful.It seems that I 've taken some kind of drug making me crave of watching them.As far as I can remember, the first K-drama that aired here in the Philippines was "Save the Last Dance For Me". Find it great and the next thing I knew, I never skipped any of its episodes. I am a very impatient person and I could not stand watching something time consuming but I watched it though contained contained lengthy episodes.Usually, a K-drama Contains 15-20 episodes.
"Save the Last Dance For Me" made me cry, giddy and laugh. I was very sad when it finally ended.And then there came other K-dramas like "Princess Hours", "Secret Garden", "Memories of Bali" "Playful Kiss", "Boys over Flowers" and many more. Among them, "Princess Hours" was my favorite because it was a romantic comedy in a Royal setting but "was the one who triggered my addiction To these kind of dramas.As a proof of my obsession, I even saved pictures of the characters to my cell phone, cut out images from magazine then made a scrapbook for them and I downloaded the songs used in the drama even if I could not Understand the lyrics.LOL
Nowadays, there are a lot of Kdramas to watch. From "Descendants of the Sun", 'Love in the Moonlight", "Scarlet Heart Ryeo" and many more. I still watch other asian dramas like Japanese ones (because of my Kento Yamazaki ) but currently I am hooked to K - dramas.
So yeah, this is my kind of drama. K. Drama.
