次の文章を英訳しなさい。
「マイノリティ」という言葉を聞くと、全体のなかの少数者をまず思い浮かべるかもしれない。しかし、マイノリティという概念を数だけの問題に還元するのは間違いのもとである。人種あるいは宗教のような属性によって定義づけられる集団は、歴史的、文化的な条件によって社会的弱者になっている場合、マイノリティと呼ばれる。こうした意味で、数としては少なくない集団でもマイノリティとなる。例えば、組織の管理職のほとんどが男性である社会では、女性はマイノリティと考えられる。

The word,”minority,” may make you imagine a group consisted of a few people. However, if you regard the concept of minority as just a matter of number, you may be wrong. This is because when you judge people’s social positon by historical or cultural factors, the groups whose identities are attributes, such as race or religion, are called minority. In this case, even if a group has many people, it is also regarded as minority. For example, in a society, there are many male managers of organizations. Then, female members are minority just because they don’t have big power.
