Greenwood can take a giant step toward locking up the top seed in the 6A playoffs with a win at Southside on Friday.Greenwood currently leads Jonesboro and Searcy for the top spot by 20 points based on the points system, which decides playoff seedings for 6A.Greenwood can pick up 10 points for a victory on Friday, plus three more points for Southside’s three conference wins as well. The Bulldogs will earn an additional two points for Southside being a 7A school regardless of a win or a loss. Those 15 points, provided Greenwood wins, would make it extremely hard for Jonesboro or Searcy to catch the Bulldogs.The top seed would be assured of home field advantage throughout the playoffs.Jonesboro and Searcy must win out to even at a shot at overtaking Greenwood.
