Ⅰ the First Chapter of Akatsu Seiichiro
Look at this guy. Who could have imagined this total newcomer would run for mayor of this remote town in Japan? The town is Akitakata, located in Hiroshima, west region of Japan. We should learn more from him; how to be brave, how to follow your heart, only your heart, not those of others.
His name is Akatsu Seichiro who has just popped out in Akitakata city, a very small town in Hiroshima Japan.
Akatsu, originally a citizen of Iwaki city in Fukushima prefecture, a city very well known for the tsunami and earthquake in 2011, moved to Tokyo seeking better jobs and chances. His business thrived. He launched: pubs, bars, basketball schools for kids, and some IT businesses. He's got married and got two beautiful daughters. It seemed that he got everything, everything a man could ask for, until he found this young mayor of Akitakata whose name is Ishimaru Shinji who probably has changed many life courses of many people in Japan.
Well, that happened ｔｏ include one of Akatsu.
Ⅱ The Second Chapter Began
The chapter two of Akatsu's life began here.
New attracts new. Birds of a feather flock together. When Akatsu saw the political skill of Ishimaru, which is entirely different from the ones of traditional Japanese politicians, he totally fell in love. Being so new and different, mayor Ishimaru reminded Akatsu of his early passion toward politics. Yes, he has always wanted to be a politician himself since he was a kid. His young dreams have started to bud.
In June 2024 Ishimaru left Akitakata for Tokyo to run for Governor of Tokyo, an even bigger political stage, it's time for Akatsu to start his own career as a politician, that is next mayor of Akitakata. He moved to Akitakata leaving his family behind in Kawasaki, Kanagawa prefecture.
Ⅲ ”I’m not his follower."
"I believe in Ishimaru and deeply miss him but I'm not his follower" insisted Akatsu. "We are different."
A lot of people say Akatsu is Ishimaru's enthusiastic fan but he denies it. Akatsu continues "Ishimaru has cleared political and economical clutters and made huge clean sapace for the citizens of Akitakata,
which was totally necessary. But if my turn comes, I want to re-build the city using the space that Ishimaru has made for us. You know, scrap and build!"
