I found a very good Japanese bag shop today in Kamakura.

The name is 鎌倉帆布巾.

This is fairly new here.

I really really wanted to buy light green one of this!

K-1

But the handles are too short to carry it on sholder.

I'm still thinking about it.......

This Hawaiian hamburger shop is now very popular in Japan.

But my mom and I have deeper feeling for this shop.

When we went to Hawaii, our English teacher's brother who lives in Hawaii took us to the original shop at Northshore. It was our first travel abroad, so its impact was very strong.

Today, we went to KUA'AINA in Kamakura.

KUA'AINA

We ordered Cheese Burger and Avo, Bacon and Cheese Sandwiches.

American size!! Love it!!

It's crazy to go to Shibuya on weekends or holidays, but I encouraged myself and went there to see my high school friend who I hadnt seen for years.

He said Shibuya was like his homeground, so he chose this restaurant upon my request, that I wanna eat Asian food.

The name is "PARADISE MACAU".

We ordered Shrimp flitter, Subuta and Donabe rice(←I dont know how to describe this....)

Food was good, but their service was mediocre.

Subuta came before drinks, so we asked where our drinks were.

Then the waiter got so upset and ran to the bar counter.

We ordered drinks right after a bartender changed to another one, so they didnt pass the order info between them, so our order was forgotten.

After we were through with food, there were still some left on the plates, then a waitress came over and stared at our plates from right next to our table, then left.

Well, it was too obvious that she checked whether our plates were empty or not (LOL).

Other than that, this restaurant is very satisfying.

I finished reading this book .

It was soooooooooooooo difficult for me to read this because, as I said, this is a classic novel, so it is written in very very old, classic English.......

When my BF came to Japan, he browsed the book and said it was amazing that I read this book.

But I really reccommend it.

I wont tell you the story, but if you like a romantic novel, just give it a try and challenge your English level.

Well, now that I am done with this book, I bought the new one.

a million little pieces

A million little pieces by James Frey

I knew this was the best selling book in the States, but I have already read a similar story( recovery from drug addiction) before, so I wasnt really interested.

BUT!!

When I browsed this at a book store, I just couldnt stop reading and it made me want to read on more and more.

My new project started!!

Why?!(;´д` )

Why?!(†〇†)

Why?!(;_;)

Why was it so gusty today?!

Why did it have to be today?!

I havent tossed a disk for...... about 4 weeks, so I looked forward to playing Ultimate today.

BUT!!!!!!

When I started to walk along the riverside to the field, it became gustier and gustier.

There were already about 10 people, but it was just impossible to play games in that wind.

We gave up on playing and left there.

Some people went to Shibuya to see the event at Pink Cow.

Me and another girl went to Starbucks and had girls-talk.

I wanted to play.....o(><)O O(><)o

I had an interview with the vice president of this company before and waited for the answer from them.

My agency said the president was in Italy regarding the Olympic and then returned to the States last Thursday, so my interview with him would be set up soon.

It made me relieved that the vice president liked me.

Then the agency said on the following email that the president would come to Japan on business trip from 20, so he wanna meet me in person

WOW!!

It is really good for both the president and me because we both can get to know each other ( for me, about the company, too) in person.

I'm so excited.

Now,me going to the States has become so real!!!

Whenever I went to O-temachi, I wanted to try this cafe, but didnt have chance till yesterday.

I went to a seminar site before I went to the office, then it was about lunch time when I left the site, so decided to have lunch here finally!

The name is "Dragonfly Cafe."

I had a sandwich lunch set, which was 1050 yen.

It is pretty good price because the lunch set consists of a bowl of soup, salad, sandwich, dessert and drink! Very good, eh?

Especially this cafe is located in the middle of Marunouchi. Usually the price is very high.

サンドウィッチ デザート

The taste was OK, not excellent but very satisfying.

Have a pleasant lunch here!

OYSRER BAR sounds really expensive, right?

But if you go there for lunch, it is very reasonable!

Me and my mom went to Yokohama together and had lunch in SOGO.

The restaurant floor was re-modeled and there are now a lot of famous( and expensive!) restaurants there.

My mom wanted to have pasta and this restaurant lunch menu had it.

The name of this restaurant is "GUMBO & OYSTER BAR."

The lunch menu my mom chose consists of appetizers( 3 pieces of raw oysters or deep fried oysters), salad and pasta for 2000 yen.

A piece of raw oyster is 560 yen if you order it. So I think this price is pretty reasonable.

Raw oysters!

From left, Hokkaido Akkeshi oyster, Hokkaido somewhere(I forgot....) oyster and Nagasaki oyster.

My mom said the left one was the most delicious.

This is like an oyster-tasting!

Then I wasnt hungry, so I had an oyster chawder.

チャウダー

The atmosphere is really good, very sophisticated.

Also, you dont need to feel any hesitation to have lunch alone.

There is a counter table available, so you feel comfortable with having lunch alone.

Have (expensive?!) oysters and feel as if you are high class!

We had a family gathering on 11, Saturday, for my BF to meet my grandma and uncle's family.

I could tell everyone was a bit nervous because there was an tall, big American guy who totally looked like a foreigner( well, duh.)

My grandma had a bit of anxiety about me getting married with an American guy.

It was just unavoidable feeling for her because, well you know, she experienced WW2.

Also she has very high pride of herself.

She lives in Yokosuka, so if she says her grandchild's BF is American, it is very natural for people to think he belongs to Navy even though he doesnt.

Because of her experience of WW2 and also, I am very afraid to say this but...., some people in Yokosuka think ill of Navy, she couldnt help having some kind of uneaseness about my engagement with him.

I told him about her uneaseness before he met her.

He said he understood it very well.

When she saw him at first, she tried to avoid to see him.

But when we sat around a table and had a chat together, her uneaseness melted and she had a really good impression about him.

She even talked to him directly and asked questions!!

I know he looks very agreeable and amiable, but I think not only that, but also he tried to speak Japanese.

It certainly made her feel better.

That alien didnt speak unknown language! (LOL)

After the meeting, she said to my mom that he looked very nice and she was so happy for us.

I'm soooooooooooo glad that everyone in my family likes him.

I think I should change my blog genre to Gourmet, dont you think?

OK, today's theme is "DPNYC", which is "DOUGHNUT PLANET NEW YORK CITY ".

When me and my BF went to Futakotamagawa, he said he wanted to have some doughnuts, so we went there.

He bought a caramel doughnut and a rasberry and creamcheese buns .

a buns

I had bites of his.

Hummmmm......Very sweet! Sugar, sugar, sugar!

You can have very American taste sweets here!
