Today was the solar eclipse. It wasn't a total eclipse in Tokyo (I think they said 70% maybe) but it was still pretty cool. Unfotunately, it was quite rainy and cloudy today so the cloud covered it a little, but I still got a few photos. It lasted quite a while, I remember seeing one in the UK when I was a child but I'm sure it was shorter. Perhaps its just my memory though. Anyway, I was glad to see it, despite the weather.

Despite my best intentions to get an early night yesterday, somehow at 4.30am I was still wide awake so around then I abandoned plans to sleep and instead ended up watching games reviews on Zero Punctuation for the rest of the 'night'. Oops...

Anyway, today I had planned to go to Odaiba and spend the day relaxing on the beach, finishing off my holiday novel and maybe having a nice lunch somewhere round there. Unfortunately this plan was destroyed by the weather...雨むっ

So instead, I'm thinking I'll go to LaQua near Tokyo Dome City and chill out in the spa there for the day (or what remains of it) 温泉ニコニコ It's kinda expensive but I went last year and it was really nice, so I guess for a holiday treat its ok... After all, there aren't any onsen in England しょぼん so I guess I should make the most of them and go while I'm here in Japan

Now I've said that, no doubt it will suddenly have to close for some reason or be destroyed in a freak accident むっ
Last night I met up with some friends I've not seen for ages and we went to an Okinawan resturaunt for dinner. It was so nice to see them again, and also the food was great. Met a lot of really cool people there too that were friends of my friend which was awesome. All in all it was a really fun night グッド!

In other news....

I'm currently having an obsession with Pendulum since I saw them live at the ball... I got the 'in silico' album just before I came out to Japan and have been listening to it rather too much. I really want the live at brixton DVD/CD. They had a big stand for it in Tower Records in Shibuya, but cos CDs and DVDs are so unbelievably expensive here I think I'm gonna have to wait til I'm back in the UK to buy it.... しょぼん damn...

Anyways at least there're some clips on their youtube site...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5wlU7RQHAU&feature=channel <----- watch it, it's awesome

I really like how they do one of the choruses as an accoustic bit live... it's cool...
