Misono, the president of US apparel giant, Felix, proposed to Miyazawa acquisition of Kohaze-ya, promising enough investment to Silklay machine. His sincere attitude moved Miyazawa to think about his company to be a subordinate of Felix.
In fact, however, Misono had a secret deal with Obara, Japanese representative of Atlantis, to provide Silklay material to Atlantis after Felix buys Kohaze-ya.
What they really want was neither Kohaze-ya nor Miyazawa but only Silklay. They were about to undertake the dissolution of the old Tabi manufacturer.
Without knowing Misono’s true plan, Miyazawa was inclined for acceptance of his proposal but Iiyama suggested Miyazawa something different for Kohaze-ya to survive as it is.
At last, Miyazawa came to Misono to give his answer. It was not acceptance of acquisition but to make a cooperative business agreement with Felix, which was out of Misono’s expectation and made him upset. The negotiation was collapsed in the end.
