Mixture of Wonderful, Unique Characters.
STORY
Tomita, Tamako, had been brought up with harsh pin-pong training, decided to change her life to be an ordinary girl, and has life of an office worker, apart from the sport. In the office, she fell in love with Ejima, coincidently, a talented pin-pong player and comes to dream about marriage with him, a goal of her average life. It was, however, suddenly ended by Ejima’s double-dealing love with his ping-pong partner. Disappointed Tamako quitted the job, escaped into her parent’s home and visited Flower Ping-Pong Club where once she had grown up as a pin-pong genius. But the glorious days of the club had gone long time ago and now it is just a place for people who play ping-pong for fun. Ochiais, the farmer couple, Yayoi, doctor’s wife, Yuhma, high school student, and Hagiwara, previously professional boxer. They seem to be common people but each one of them has complicated story behind. To find and regain what they left in the past, their ping-pong challenge begun.
REVIEW
The story line was the sport drama with heroine’s romance, which often be found in the past films or TV dramas. Nevertheless, you wouldn’t get bored in any moment of the film, Mix.
One of the reasons is definitely, excellent performance of skillful, talented actors in the drama. Not only Yui Aragaki, who comes to the peak of public favor, but Eita, Ryoko Hitosue and other supporting players fulfill their roles with rich expressions, which are very understandable, touch to viewer’s heart.
Personally, Hirosue’s role is very important, which keep connecting the heroine to the club, and she did well about it. And Endo Kenichi, who plays a member of the club, looks like a real farmer. The story with his partner is nice to see.
Oh, I shouldn’t forget to mention about Yu Aoi, who plays Chinese restaurant staff. You must see how she plays in her role. For sure, you will enjoy it. I promise.
