Why they lost the motivation for work?

First of all, many of them are already out of promotion race. While their colleagues were promoted and stepped up to senior positions, Ojisan workers were left on junior position. Looking colleague’s success at the corner of their eyes, they came to know they are what we call “losers” in the company.

It is no use working hard. The game is over. Then, why not to take a safety way, which is keeping away from risky challenge.

More or less, middle aged male workers share this kind of feeling.
