Today I attended a telephone conference with an oversea staff at my work place. He is British, explained about new project around one hour and had Q&A time in the end. He spoke with a cockney accent which made me difficult to listen up sometimes but could understand maybe 70 % of what he told. In general, we have a lot of opportunities to hear US English in this country which is only one of the many English language styles. I have to get used to it in order to widen up my understanding on this language.
