Tatsuki Machida was born in Kanagawa prefecture, and grew up in Hiroshima prefecture. Hiroshima prefecture had no skating link can use all year. So he trained in Okayama, Yamaguchi, Fukuoka prefecture. His family is father, mother, and grandmother. His grandmother was the best one who understands him, so he always carries a lucky-charm she made although she was dead.
He graduated from the elementary school and the middle school in Hiroshima Prefecture. He entered the Kurashiki Suisho High School. After finished it, he was admitted to the Kansai University and is still student of that college. Daisuke Takahashi and Nobunari Oda who are figure skaters are graduates of that university.
He started figure skating at the age of 3. When he participated in a contest for the first time, he fell down and cried. So he was not able to continue performance. He started his skating life in last place. At the age of 9, he met a coach named Azumi Hata. Thanks to her coaching, he became an excellent player.
Last February, he won the 5th prize in 2014Winter Olympics at Sochi. He couldn’t do his best skating in the Men’s short program and had a bad start, taking the 11th place. However, he got back in the Men’s free program.
Why we think he is the best sports star in the world
We think the reason Tatsuki Machida is a famous figure skater is his thought he want to entertain an audience. He is the best sports star in the world because he has a unique style of acting. His nickname is ”Philosophy Prince". Therefore he is particular about expression than anyone else. I can see as if he is blazing when he performs "Firebird". His beautiful skating attracts people of the world. We think he has the most unique exhibition in the world! I become fan of him to see his passionate air guitar!
