I have just come back to this blog after long break...I wrote the last article more than 3 yrs ago!

There were so many thing during this 3.5 yrs... and I am so glad to say that now I am working in Singapore.

I actually found a job shortly after the last posting, (i think 2 months later) in MNC in Japan and that company transfered me to Singapore in May 2014.

The working environement here is totally in English in this Enropean comapny and there are so many diffrent nationalities in our Singapore office as APAC regional HQ.

I have got so many things to learn which I cannot expericne in Japan, typically communication interms of how to interact with and influence people. I am eager to take advantage of this opportunity for my future carrer development but it is quite challenging at the same time.

One aspect is, of course, English,

That's why I came back here and would like to keep a sort of diary to put down what i am thiking now, and also as a practice to transform those vague things to something more tangible in English.

Hope this will help me enhance English skill!

キャリアの方向性

CPAをとってから財務系のコンサルを

選択肢の中に入れました。

未経験で行くには今がぎりぎりの年齢。

そして正直、ある程度家庭を犠牲にせざるをえない環境でしょう。

最初は年収も結構下がるし、

自分の好きな現場のビジネスに近い仕事はできない。

一方、せっかくプロ資格をとったのだから、プロらしく働いてみたいし、

今のままFP&A一筋で行くのも幅が少ない。

私の実務経験に欠けている財務会計まわりの経験も積める。

もちろん色々な会社、案件を垣間見ることができる。

今の会社を辞めれば退職金も入るわけだし、２年ガマンすれば

今の給料以上？になるのならそれもありでは。

３年程度がむしゃらに働いてみることに、旦那も賛成してくれてるし

チャレンジしてみたらいいのでは・・・。

現役でコンサルで働いている人には、

最終的には事業会社のFinanceをやりたいなら

その道で行くほうがいいんじゃない？と言われたけど

まぁ最低３年やってみて損はないんじゃないかなぁと。

でも、外資のFP&Aの案件も並行で受けたいなぁ。

やっぱり外人さんのいるエージェントを使わないと

良い案件は出てこないかなぁ・・・面倒なのだけど。

転職についての思い

USCPA試験に合格して、

いざ自分の目の前の仕事に向き合ってみるとあまりに面白くなく、

自分がこうありたい、という姿が社内には見えない事に

改めて気づきました。

まあ、昔はこういう仕事も新たな発見！勉強！と思いながら

やっていたわけで。

成長した証ではあるのですが。

そんなわけで、ぼちぼち転職活動をスタートしたところです。

本格的に動くのは２回目なので、

焦らず、良いアプローチを考えながら動き始めたところです。

Resume update

Today I updated my Japanese&English resume.I have been considering whether I should change my job or not for 2years.This is the major reason why I have been studying for USCPA.I really would like to do new challenge. Meanwhile, I am afraid of losing my stable position and salary in current company. This is tough decision for me, but this is the time I have to decide. Otherwise, I am getting older...

Weekend exploring

Last weekend, I walked around to explore our neighborhood with my husband. Our destination was the nearest library from my house to see if it is a good place for studying, because my husband would like to study for his promotion exam (he needs to study civic law, local government act, etc!) and I would like to study English. The library located 10 minutes distance from my house was quite small and old, but it had a nice reading/studying room not so crowded. Although there were not many new and interesting books, it was enough to meet our expectation. We would like to visit there sometimes.
After we studied for a while, we explored the neighborhood of the library and found a nice park called “Omori-Furusato-no-Hamabe Park”. This park faces canal and has sand beach and partial rocky shore. Children can play water and catch beach crabs, small fish and so on. Even though it was not so hot on that day, there were many families enjoying beach. We were very glad to find such a nice place and spend good time in our neighborhood.
