Was going to spend the day catching up on TV But I took too long to sort things out.
Agreed to go out with my mum to shop.
She pouted so I couldn't resist!
We went to Makro. Thought about buying things.
For my flat... like toilet roil and detergent! Then I found this giant teacup! It's for plants!
If it weren't £14.99 I'd snap it up. It's on sale...
As usual I looked through the sweets and cakes
I'm quite good at resisting!
But mother is not so we got some wafers. Oh and a date and walnut cake.
Arrived at the spa just after 10am.
Had a bit of trouble exiting the car park...
But at least I wasn't the only one!
Filled out my questionnaire and then taken downstairs.
I had a quick tour and was given my robe and slippers.
Explored the place a bit and took some photos. Played on the gym equipment too.
Then went upstairs to wait for my massage.
The hot stones was okay, but doubt I'll have it again.
It wasn't hot enough for me
Then I went to explore the thermal suite.
The 'exerience shower' wasn't as exciting as it sounds.
There were four settings. Drench was my favourite. Drench (monsoon), fragrance, massage and cold.
Cold smelt great, but maybe because I used it after the fragrance setting each time
The steam room was my favourite room. It smelt of eucalyptus and menthol.
I always seemed to go in after the best part.
I tended to stay in there longer than 12 minutes...
Just love the thought of opening my pores.
And my skin being cleansed!
The first sauna I tried was the infrared one.
It's meant to replicate sunrays.
So I lie on my back, wanting acne scars to disappear.
It wasn't very hot in there though.
The other sauna was a traditional Swedish one.
With water to pour over stones to heat up the room.
Loved the heat and the smell in here! Think someone broke part of it at some point.
At first I could lie down, but later there was something blocking me.
The final room was the ice room
Ice chips would come out of a chute.
Then you rub them on your body to get your circulation going. I actually love this
Don't think this was too popular since later on the pile went right up into the shoot
There were also two chairs in the suite. They were heated. At first I was unimpressed.
But the longer I sat, the better they seemed!
My next two massages were back relief and foot relief
They included exfoliation and hot towels. SO GOOD!
The woman said I'd ache after too many massages?
After another trip to the thermal suite it was time to leave
Ah, such a relaxing day! It was time for my ballet class!
The room was sweaty and there were SO many people there.
Felt a bit of a noob, especially with my sprained ankle.
Still, it was good to get moving and felt so good.
I really enjoyed it! If only I could go more often.
Today didn't feel as successful as yesterday
Guess that's what happens when you arise at noon!
First I drove mum to the bank.
Then we went to drop off her dancing stuff.
After that I sorted out my spa stuff.
Then rang about the mortgage and car insurance.
So busy! Then I rushed to a new pilates class.
It was all right but I preferred the ashtanga yoga.
Think the instructor was surprised by my flexibility.
If only I didn't have a sprained ankle
There was one pose he forced me into.
I didn't mind, it meant he thought I could do it
And he praised me for my standing lotus
