Shoulder Rigs are one of those pieces of equipment that are very polarizing in a specific field. In my Mind, on other stabilizers, the shoulder rig can improve my DSLR video in other ways.
The Shoulder Rigs can make your DSLR more like a camcorder or other camera system that lives on your shoulder. It’s man to stabilize your shot like one of those cameras, it’s mean to make your DSLR rig look more like on those cameras. It’s also affordable, usable, efficient and expandable.
It’s not to say the shoulder rigs are wrong for everyone, obviously some people swear by them. I simply see the benefit to a shoulder rig over other stabilization methods that can be had for much cheaper and used in more ways. Some of you may still be in interested in a shoulder rig.
