Today, I'd like talk about why Hollywood stars earn huge amount of money comparing with Japan?

How much do hallywood stars earn money?

For example, Arnold Schwarzenegger earns about 30000000$ a movie, and Julia Roberts earns does about 20000000$ a movie.

It is big different from movie industry in Japan.

Next, why hallywood stars earn much more money than Japan.

There are 2 reason.

Firstly, Hollywood is larger market than Japan.

Japanese movies mostly are released only in Japan but Hollywood movies are released around the wolrd.

it means huge more money are moved in Hollywood than Japan.

Then, you know Hollywood industry is good investment.

A lot of investors invest money because if the movie which they invest is hit, they are divided a lot of money.

That why they want more famous actor to appear even if they had to invest huge money. In the result, performance fee in Hollywood increased now.

Today, I want to tell you about Hollywood and Ajapanese movie.

A lot of people would enjoy watching both Hollywood movie and Japanese movie.

However, they are big different from cost to make a movie.

Hallywood movie tends to cost huge money but Japanese movie costs less.

for example, Titanic, released in 1997, was costed 200,000,000$　ｔｏ　ｍａｋｅ ｉｔ..

Yet, Sekai no chuushin de ai wo sakebu, released in 2000, was costed about 60,000,000$.

why they are different a lot in cost?

Firstly it is differences from story.

Most Hollywood movie stories are large scale like SF, action and fantasy etc...

therefore they need huge money for setting.

Recently Hallywood often use visual effect and it also need huge money.

On the other hand, most Japanese movie stories are about daily life and romance so it doesn't need to cost money so much.

In addition, cost for using famous actor is guradually jumping in Hallywood. for example when Brad Pitto appeared in Mr and Mrs Smith, the performance fee was 20,000,000$.

comparing with Japan, performance fee in Japan is apporoximately from 10,000,000 ～　20,000,000 yen and you can notice performance fee in Hallywood is extraordinary.
