It been two weeks since we last chatted, so we have plenty to catch up on.
The biggest could be the Yankees. Two weeks ago I didn even have them in my Top 8. Now? Closing in on a top spot following the 11game win streak. How clutch have they been? Over the past seven days they hitting .228 and in the month of June (143) a whooping .244! That means that pitching staff is getting it done.
As of right now I didn expect seeing the Nationals, Orioles, White Sox, or Indians lead a single game atop a division this season. Why? It Gordon Beckham and his move to second base. He already clubbed homer No. 8 two shy of last year total and he providing SOMETHING in the lineup. Is he hitting .300? No. But, at least he not looking lost like last year.

2) Rangers (3223) third straight week Could their run at No. 2 end? They have lost 4 of 5 and stay on the road for six more.
3) Rays (3123) up one spot After disappointing and controversy series with the White Sox, Tampa jumped back and took 2 of 3 against Baltimore. Now, here comes the Yankees, which could be a big series before Interleague starts.
4) Nationals (3022) up one spot How they do against NL East? Last 11 games against all but Mets, who they face next three. Washington went 65. It only slightly above .500, but heck of a lot better than the past.
5) Orioles (3024) down two spots What team in the AL East does not have a positive run differential? Oh, it the team in second place. he sliding has started.
6) Reds (3023) second straight week Cincy just beat up on Rockies and Astros. Problem is lost 2 of 3 to Pirates, who held them to a mere two runs in the losses.
7) White Sox (3123) NR Chris Sale and Jake Peavy are right now one of the top 12combo in the game. Combined they are 133with 16 quality starts.

One quarter of the season is now in the rearview mirror, so let take a look at who been the MVP for the top eight teams.
