Do you want to know the difference between Rigging Work & Rope access, if yes then let’s take a look

Somehow, both rigging & rope access work is used to complete jobs at heights but the capabilities of the two are different.

Simply Rigging Work & Rope access is not the same.

You can define Rigging work as any task that involves the use of mechanical load shifting or secure a load. It can also include installing large plant equipment, assembling a building structure. Rigging also needs a license. There are three classes of rigging licenses. The level depends on the type of rigging work that needs to be performed.

On the other hand Rope access is a form of work positioning. You can also say it is a safe method of working at height by utilizing ropes. The technology of Rope access relies on modern engineered systems of rope. Many of the rope access technicians are licensed riggers that can perform rigging duties with the use of rope access techniques.

Rope Access is quite safer than rigging work.

I hope you learn something new in it and also get knowledge about it.
