Redondo Beach Chamber lends support to Measure B

Welcome to a Vacuum Cleaner Battery specialist of the Samba Battery

The Redondo Beach Chamber supports Measure B because it provides significant economic benefits for Redondo Beach, beautifies the waterfront and respects AES’ private property rights. Measure B makes it possible to close this chapter of our city’s history and start a new day.

Under the Measure, the power plant will be phased out and demolished, future industrial uses will be prohibited, and the land will be rezoned to allow creation of a new neighborhood called Harbor Village.

The new zoning represents a significant compromise compared to previous proposals. Without Measure B, the plant will remain indefinitely, a new power plant will be constructed, or the site will be used for some other industrial purpose, such as a large-scale battery with such as Samba JNB-XR210 Battery , Samba JNB-XR210C Battery , Samba XR210 Battery , Samba XR210C Battery , KV8 Battery , KV8 210C Battery , KV8 210XR Battery , Neato Battery , Neato XV-11 Battery , Neato XV-12 Battery , Neato XV-15 Battery , Neato XV-21 Battery storage facility or a desalination plant.

Pretending the plant will just go away without Measure B is not reality. It’s financially impossible and not going to happen. With Measure B, it’s guaranteed. In fact, it’s the only way to guarantee an industrial free waterfront.

Measure B requires that at least 20 percent of the land be preserved as permanent public open space, and that all development be approved by the Redondo Beach City Council and the California Coastal Commission.

Measure B requires a comprehensive traffic analysis. Traffic impact issues must be addressed either through physical infrastructure improvements funded by the developer or by modifying the project. Otherwise, it will not be allowed to proceed. Measure B also specifically forbids large traffic-generating uses, and it includes pedestrian-friendly promenades and bike paths.

An independent fiscal analysis of Measure B shows that the Harbor Village will create thousands of jobs and provide over $4 million a year in new revenue for the city, without raising taxes.

Measure B is not only supported by the Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce but also members of the City Council, along with other community leaders representing public safety, small business, labor, parks, the arts, planning, public works and our schools.

We all agree that Measure B is an exciting opportunity for Redondo Beach, the result of many years of planning and over a decade of discussion by people who care deeply for this community. It’s a smart, fair and responsible plan — a true win-win for all of us.
