Hey, what can I say, I liked it. And so will you if you're not expecting big budgets.
Like horses and swords? Me too. Like wicked sorceresses? Me too. Like evil minions? Win. The truth is that low budget movies like this don't often make it to market, and the cover art is so good that people will be expecting big Hollywood money. But one star is just silly.
I found it very enjoyable, under a blanket with a nice cup of tea kind of film. If you know before you start that it's low budget you'll really enjoy it. Good story, fun baddies, some acting is a little wobbly some is strong. Beautiful scenery and some nice tight editing. All in all a really great job, good old fashioned storytelling..

Okay so 14 hours later and I watched it. I feel like I have to swallow my words and 'come clean' so I deleted my previous comment and take back whatever I said, because it simply wasn't fair judgement. This trailer is HORRIBLE so I'm not going to feel to bad about it, it's just ... a terrible trailer that does no justice to the movie. This movie was actually enjoyable, dare I say even good, but I guess that's something you wont see on this comment section that rides off negativity. I don't blame people tho, the previous movies go from 'awful' to 'awfully mediocre' . Heartfire is at least more than decent enough to not bore me and I even care for the characters, thats something. Unlike DH3, DH4 features a proper story with people that know how to act (except that one guy, you'll know who , thankfully he only gets like 10 lines so its fine) The CGI is Okay, it's just Okay and it's entirely watchable, keep in mind that the budget was miniscule compared to DH1 but it's far from as bad as DH3's pispoor excuse for CGI. Patric does a lovely job VA and I'm glad they didn't take the guy from DH3. I don't know any of the young actors but they've done a good job, mind you I'm not too great at seeing bad acting, but I enjoyed watching this so I can't be that bad. The movie itself didnt feel as cheap as DH3 although some shots could have been done better Also how can we argue about the editing ? It was perfect, it was perfect because you can't argue with Chuck Norris ! The end was kinda cheesy and even tho I liked it it felt like they were 'forced' to do this for sake of the IP, even tho these movies just seem to pull 'magic rules' out of their ass and thing could have ended entirely different. But thats all the spoilers you'll get out of me..
Wait....does anyone hear that? It's Sean Connery resurrected as a dragon after rolling in his grave to know that the series has gone on this long and has only gotten worse with every movie. if you're gonna reboot the series, get someone with dignity, not to say patrick stewart doesn't have any, but still get someone like Idris Elba, Tom Hiddleston, Benedict Cumberbatch, one of the Doctor Who's that are still alive, again Patrick stewart (with a story that had more meat on it), maybe even Jeremy Iron. Heck even take some distictive american actors such as Peter Cullen, Lenord Nimoy (if he was still around), James Earl Jones, or even Morgan Freeman to voice the great dragon, Drake..
This looks like a kiddy film. So sad to see how low this series has come
