Ravel's miswriting

Today, I have read the topic "The Orchestral Saxophone Repertoire" in the book "Saxophone (Paul Harvey)"

The most interesting thing is that I discovered exactly the same explanation about Bolero
as the interview
with Marcel Mule, French saxophonist that I watched on Youtube.

This explanation is

"Ravel must have inaccurate information about the soprano saxophone, because he seemed to think it wouldn't go up to top E♭, and started the second solo on sopranino (in F too; very strange for a master of orchestration like Ravel) but the sopranino runs out of range as the solo descends he writes for a soprano taking over just for the bottom of solo"

His miswriting shows that even masters make mistakes, so don't respect too much even grand authors' texts.
