長勝寺は弘前城の東南に位置するお寺で、津軽藩主・津軽氏の菩提寺でした。
津軽藩二代藩主の津軽信牧は、この地域に33もの曹洞宗のお寺を集め、
弘前城の出城の機能を持たせました。
ここを訪れた際、雪が降り、凍り付くような天気でしたが、
長勝寺やその隣の津軽家廟所は、雪に静まり返り、
