"Taikomon" Gate and "Kuromon" Gate were rebuit.
You can pass through these two gate to arrive at the main castle tower.
"Kuromon Gate
As the original castle tower has less windows, the inside of the castle was very dark.
Electrical lights are prepared for visitors, but you will imagine how it was dark in the Edo Age.
Sun light from windows are very impressive.
Surfaces of wooded window frames and pillars are wave-shaped.
Those were marks shaved with an adz when Matsumoto Castle was built.
From the top floor of the main castle tower, you can look down "Inui" small main castle tower.
It was very spectacular view.
If it is fine and a clear day, you will see North japan-Alps mountain range from the castle tower.
This view will also be very spectacular.
