Roux's comments come after Australian Rugby Union chief Bill Pulver on Thursday revealed that the Wallabies will be forced to take pay cuts as the union struggles to deal with a loss of almost Aus$19 million ($19.35 million) over the past two years.
While it appears to be troubled times in Australian rugby, their counterparts in South Africa don't have the same problems.
"We are currently busy with a three-year plan and there are no plans for salary cuts. In fact, we are planning on bidding to again host the Rugby World Cup in South Africa in 2023," Roux told Volksblad.
"SARU's budget is driven by its strategic and operational goals. And in that regard, the Springboks are high priority and last on the list should there ever be monetary cuts.
"We work in close collaboration with the SA players union (SARPA) to offer contracts that fall within our budget, but also to satisfy players' demands."
