先日ジャニー喜多川さんの
この新しい墓地一帯には、
カップの中にコーヒーが

お墓をご案内いたしましたが、
I mentioned about the grave
of Johnny Kitagawa
the other day.
ジャニーさんのお墓は、
奥の院といいましても、
Although it’s located in
Oku-no-in,
織田信長や豊臣秀吉などの
諸大名の墓石群とは違う
エリアになります。
the area is different from
the graves of the feudal lords.
終戦後、中の橋案内所から
奥の院にかけ、広大な森林が
伐採され、新しい墓地が
できました。
After the WWII, the new
grave yard was created
in a forest in which
trees were felled.
戦後の日本経済の発展に
寄与した有名企業の
社員の慰霊碑が立ち並んで
います。
The memorial monuments
of best-known companies,
which helped Japan flourish
economically after the war,
are seen in this new area.
カップの中にコーヒーが
入っていると聞いたので、
見たいとおもいましたが、
I heard that coffee was in
the cup, so I wanted to see
but
高すぎて覗けませんでした。
it was too high to look inside.
NISSAN
Fukusuke
福助の後ろに
朝日が上ります。
The sun was rising
behind Fukusuke.
Kirin
左にさりげなく
存在感を出している
キリンの姿は風情が
あります。
The giraffe, Kirin, looked
subtle but definitely
tasteful.
諸大名の墓石が並ぶ
参道と比べますと、
まったく趣が異なり、
This area look very
different in compared
with the main path way.
こちらは、
さまざまな会社の
広告塔のようでも
ありますが、
They almost look
like the advertisements
of the various companies,
however
何の隔たりもなく、
すべてを包含する
密教だからこそ、
Esoteric Buddhism believes
“inclusiveness”, so
奥の院では、
すべての供養が
可能なのです。
the memorial service is
for everyone and everything
in Oku-no-in.
