結願された大先輩から
お野菜が届きました。
My friend, who has just
completed his pilgrimage
on Shikoku, sent me
vegetables.
彼が家庭菜園でつくられた
きゅうりとトマトです。
He grows vegetables
in his garden.
まさに産地直送です。
It’s truly farm-to-table.
色とりどりのランも
お育てになっています。
He also grows all different
types of orchids.
私の名前がついた
このぶどうは秋に
食べ頃になるそうですが、
This grape is named
after me, and it will be
ready to eat in autumn,
but
毎年、ハクビシンとの
知恵比べの戦いだそうです。
until then, he’s going to
have a war of wits with
civets.
これは、高知から
持ち帰ってくださった
文旦です。
It’s Buntan, a well known
citrus in Kochi.
文旦を見ると
四国遍路を
思い出します。
Buntan always reminds
me of pilgrimage in
Shikoku.
大先輩が送ってくださった
新鮮な野菜と果物は、
These fresh vegetables
and fruit would
長い梅雨で弱った
体調を整え、
improve my health
condition, and
次のお遍路の準備を
始める活力になるでしょう。
