7月に入り初めて
なにもかも
山上で最古の供養塔の
雲の合間から
太陽がちらりと
顔を出しました。
This was the first time
in July that the sun finally
came out from the clouds.
朝はまだ小雨が
降ったり止んだり
していましたので、
It was still raining
in the morning,
午後から、
奥の院へ
行きました。
so, I decided to go to
Oku-no-in in the afternoon.
緑がより深くなった
気がします。
The color of green
seemed to be deeper.
雨にながされ、
The rains washed
and cleaned everything.
何時もの景色も
新鮮に見えます。
Everything looked
so refreshing.
山上で最古の供養塔の
雨に濡れた苔は
より緑鮮やかです。
The color of the moss
on the oldest grave
in Koyasan looked
more beautiful after the rain.
日曜日の雨上がり、
多くの人が
奥の院を
訪れていました。
Many people were seen
in Oku-no-in on Sunday.
帰りに、
一の橋に一番近い
やきもちのお店に
立ち寄りました。
I stopped by the sweets shop
which was the closest to
the Ichi-no-hashi.

It’s founded in 816!
高野山開創の頃から
あるお店ですが、
It was founded around
the Koyasan was founded,
1200年の間に
メニューは
進化しています。

evolved during the 1200 years.

作り、

for the next visit, and

したところ、

これほど嬉しく
胸に響いたことが
ありません。

高野山復活の兆しに
喜んだもつかの間、
It was a sign of recovery
in Koyasan.
和歌山県の
新たなコロナ感染者は
7名になりました。
However, I also found out
that 7 more people in
Wakayama got infected by
the coronavirus.
大雨とコロナとの
共存は続きますが、
Although our lives continue
to deal with the heavy rains
and the coronavirus,
高野山に住む人たちの
日々変わりない笑顔に
救われる毎日です。
the smiles of people
in Koyasan always lift
my spirits.
