やきもちや草もちもあります。

みろく石本舗かさ國に
行きました。
I went to Mirokuishi-Honpo
Kasakuni.
お店の前を通るたびに
立ち止まり、
Every time I walked by
the shop during the closure
due to the Covid-19,
シャッターに描かれた
お大師様伝を見ていました。
I was admired of the painting
of the Kukai story on the shutter.
1871年開業。
It was founded in 1871.
「みろく石」とは、
奥の院にある小さなお堂の中に
置かれた手のひらサイズの
石のことです。
Miroku-ishi is the stone, which
is your palm size and placed
in the small hall in Oku-no-in.
この石は弥勒菩薩が住む浄土から
転がり落ちてきた石とされ、
撫でると弥勒菩薩の縁（えにし）を
授かると言わています。
This stone is believed to be
fallen from Pure Land where
Maitreya resides.
人気商品は、
もちろんみろく石、
そして高野通宝。
The two most popular items
are Morokuishi and Koyatsuho.
酒饅頭、芋焼き、六方焼
以前はバラ売りでしたが、
新型コロナウイルスのため、
今は梱包されています。
They used to sell individually
but have to pack them now
because of the Covid-19.
Koya-kun
和菓子屋さんの豆腐。
高野山に遍在するこうやくん。
He is omnipresent.
興味をそそります。
Tofu in Japanese confectionary
Style. It’s very attractive.
高野山では珍しい
上生菓子です。
It’s very hard to find
traditional refined Japanese
sweets here at Koyasan.
素敵なイートインの
スペースもあります。
They offer a special place
to taste their sweets.
かわいくて懐かしい
お菓子です。
It’s so pretty and nostalgic.
佛手柑
Busshukan

仏の手に似ていることから
「佛手柑」とよばれる果実を
独特の製法で甘露煮したもの
です。
Busshukan is citrus, which
look like Buddha’s hand.
It’s sweetened with their
special way of making.
100g あたり1,300円の
珍味です。
It’s 1,300 yen per 100g.
Busshukan Jam
美味しそうなスイーツばかりで
悩みましたが、
Everything looked so good that
it was hard to choose.
まずは高野山を代表する
スイーツと、興味を
そそわれたものを厳選し、
味見をしてみようと思います。
I decided to buy those that
are most popular and attractive.
