本殿軒下の龍の彫刻が迫力ある造りとして知られています。
The dragon carvings beneath the eaves of the main hall are striking and powerful in design.
春の火祭りは、爆竹や花火の演出を伴った勇壮な神事で、観客を魅了します。
The spring Fire Festival is a bold ritual involving fireworks and firecrackers — a spectacle that draws many spectators.
境内には古墳や磐座(いわくら)の信仰遺跡が点在し、古代の信仰を感じられます。
Within the grounds, you can find ancient tombs and sacred rock altars (iwakura), giving a sense of ancient worship.

歴史・由緒 / History & Background
社伝によれば、10世紀中頃には「美濃国神名帳」にこの社名が記されており、さらに古代に起源をもつとされます。
According to tradition, the shrine name appears in the Mino Province Shrine Register (Mino no Kuni Jinja-chō) as early as the mid-10th century, and its origins are said to be even older.
春の大祭「手力の火祭」は4月第2土曜日に行われ、県の重要無形民俗文化財に指定されています。
Its grand spring festival, called Tejikara no Himatsuri (Fire Festival), is held on the second Saturday of April and has been designated as an important intangible folk cultural property of Gifu Prefecture.
社殿は2008年に改築され、江戸時代からの修復を経て現在の姿に至ります。
The current shrine buildings were reconstructed in 2008, built upon continuous repairs and renovations dating back through the Edo period.
