so, there are three things that you should check
-
Exterior
-
Interior
-
Accessories
Exterior:
What is that mean? that is you just want to look at that board, look at the casing, how many scratches are there? How many nicks and chips are there? those are different arguing those parts to help argue to price down even further you also want to check the LED’s are working and turn the board ON. make sure it’s charged! do not buy a word that is completely dead that is very as a Red flag and probably does not work.
Interior:
Interior are the motors, batteries, the switches these are major components that affect the performance of your ride. so, to get an idea how well the motors and batteries have been used. ask the guy how many hours has it been riding, how many times is it charged fully so, the another you want to check is the charging port make sure its clean there’s no dirt or any gunk in there make sure the pins are nice and straight you also wanna check the button got to push turns on turns off. if it has speakers on it, make some noise and connect blue tooth to it. and lastly you want to check the foot pads. this is where you will be able to negotiate a huge price reduction on board and get it for $99. check the left and right foot pads, make sure it’s working and light turns on when you step on it right leg pad and left leg pad one by one.
Accessories:
These are important things to check too. although it don’t add to the riding performance of your board but it do give you negotiating Power if there are not working or not included.
check whats your model is and what accessories it stated with. check the charger you probably won’t be able to check, you gotta plug it in and charge unless you have an outlet but one thing you do want to check is that you can plug it into the board and that actually goes into the board and nothing is bent and holes unclogged and everything like that and if the charger does not work that’s probably a $20 negotiating power right there.
That’s where you guys negotiate, that’s how you do negotiate your board and get it for $99 hoverboard.
