I am asking Kellogg's to remove all artificial colors, artificial flavors and BHT from all of their cereals. I urge you to join me in taking action by signing this petition now!

In Europe and Australia, all Kellogg's cereals are free of artificial colors and BHT. Kellogg's sells Froot Loops and Unicorn Cereal exclusively in other countries without artificial colors or BHT, so they already have the formula. We deserve, like other countries, safer cereals.

Vani Hari submitted 400,000 signatures to Kellogg's headquarters asking them to remove artificial colors from their cereals and called for a boycott of all Kellogg's products. Varney Harry: "So Kellogg's turning his back on America's children today?" Security guard: "I'm just a company security guard, not a Kellogg spokesperson." Vani Harry: "So Kellogg's turning his back on America today?" Did you know that they use artificial colors and BHT, which has been linked to cancer, in the U.S. but not in other countries?Security guard: I appreciate your input and Ill bring it up to leadership—”Vaani Harry: "Why don't our own American children deserve these safer cereals? Why?" Security guard: "Thanks ma'am, I appreciate your opinion." Jason Karp: "The executives are right there Look." Vani Harry: "Come out! Stop hiding from us!" Crowd: "Let us in!" Vani Harry: "Kellogg's employee holds a The sign says 'Get off my lawn'. Kellogg's doesn't care about you... This is unacceptable for our children. #KelloggsUS #foodsafety

"Today, more than 85 percent of the cereals we sell contain no artificial colors," the company said in a statement. "We continue to innovate cereals without artificial colors to provide our consumers with a wide range of nutritious food choices." Kellogg said it announced plans to remove artificial colors and ingredients nearly a decade ago because it believed consumers were looking for foods with natural ingredients and would welcome the change. But the company said it found consumer preferences varied widely across markets. "For example, our cereal formulations using natural color alternatives are more accepted in the Canadian market than in the United States," the company said.

Kellogg may have to reconsider, though. Last month, California's Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom signed a bill banning six food dyes from food served in the state's public schools, the first U.S. state to do so.

Children's cereal is preserved in butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT). Some animal studies have linked BHT to cancer and is an endocrine disruptor that disrupts hormones. Although the FDA has granted it GRAS status, BHT has not been proven to be safe, and researchers agree that more research is needed. The approval of BHT as a food additive is one of the most egregious failures of our regulatory system, according to the respected Environmental Working Group, which ranks it among the "dirty dozen" food additives that should be avoided.

Imagine a country so corrupt that it allowed a company to poison food until its citizens had to protest to stop it! Parents, doctors, nutritionists and state politicians are protesting in front of Kellogg's headquarters in Battle Creek, demanding the company remove artificial colors and preservatives from its U.S. cereals. Make America Healthy Again.  #KelloggsUS  #foodsafety    #VaniHari   #foodbabe
