As everyone knows, Obama vs. Romney has been increasingly heating up as the election gets closer. These days, politics (and perhaps media) have been focusing on what to do with tax hike slated for next year due to expiration of tax cut initiated by Bush Jr. and extended by Obama.
Taking this tax debate as an example, I'd like to talk about how pathetic one of the major political party in the US. First, Obama wants to extend the tax cut for those making <$200K/year (single) and <$250K/year (couple) but not those making more than these numbers. However, everyone is missing the point - everyone, including those making more than 200K/single or >$250K/couple is GETTING TAX CUT UP TO $200K/$250K, above that, they'll get tax hike accordingly. However, Republican (they should be rename it to retardlican) is blatantly lying about it over the media coverage that people who make >$200K/$250K will not receive tax cut extension, only higher tax. Thus, retardlicans are lying about it.
Second, US govt has historically high debt, mainly coming from tax cuts and 2 wars without funding. So, govt need more income, thus, Obama is tapping those who can afford to do so and those who has enjoyed tax cuts almost a decade.
Third, retardlicans are claiming that by reducing the tax for riches would create employment because of more cash in hand. THIS IS TOTAL BULL SHIT!!! Especially these days, corporations (defined as 'people' by some fucking lunatics) and those 'job creators' are sitting on behemoth cash reserve, but they are not hiring. You know that that indicate?? Leaving the tax cut to riches/corporations as cash to 'invest' HAS NEVER PROVEN TO CREATE ANY JOBS, and we've seen it enough evidence. Thus, expiring tax cut for those making enough money would increase revenue for govt since retardlicans really wants to slash the debt burden and this is a way to go. In the end, those tax cuts initiated by Bush Jr. is pretty much to serve rich people anyways - have you paid estate tax?? I don't think so unless you're making alot $$ and those estate tax cuts riches are enjoying now costs than those tax cuts for middle/lower income class. Again, there were no jobs created by those riches with $$ to spend while middle/lower income class has spend almost all just to keep up with all the bills and life.
Finally (I have more to say, but I'm getting tired), many think-tanks and govt committees including budget committees, all came to conclusion that expiring tax cuts would be devastation for the US economy and perhaps others including EU, JPN, CHN, etc. and that keeping the tax cuts for middle/lower income class actually would help economic recovery greatly through much higher spendings (i.e. more $$ on the market, which leads to virtuous cycles of economic recovery).
How fucked up the politics these days?? Very, VERY fucked up, especially the retardlicans who are backed by crony Kock-suckers and oily motherfuckers ('digging' the mother earth, get it?) and those gang-banker, etc. Of course Democrats are not so good at fighting back, but at least they have visions that actually based on facts, history and mathematical numbers.
