The day I put on a new pair of shoes
That alone made the world look different
My own footsteps, different from yesterday
Made my happy for some reason
Aimlessly, to the next town
I walked for a while without thinking
“I haven’t done this recently too”
I thought absentmindedly
To just choose a paved road and walk on it
That's how I lived my days but now I want to stop
That's just how I feel today
The future I dreamed of
Is not that far away
Another step, the next step
Let my footsteps ring out
Sometimes lightless,
Lonely nights will come but
There is surely someone listening to these footsteps
If you're too tired to walk
Then as long as you stand still and cling
The earth will spin
And carry us in the right direction
Everyone has that day when they think their heart will break
Even if you start to think “I can’t go on”, it’s okay
You can become stronger
This age that is now
Is not as bad as people say
Another step, the next step
Re-tying my shoelaces
Sharing joy with one another
Compensating for each other’s weaknesses
As long as you can walk with a precious someone…
