Last weekend I went to a craft beer festival in Asakusa. "Craft beer" is beer that is made by a small company (not Sapporo or Kirin) in smaller quantities. This makes the beer more tasty because it is made with higher quality ingredients and there can be many different flavors. I sampled many different beers from small breweries around Japan and listened to a great bagpipe performance as well. It was a lot of fun and I can't wait to go back next year! If you like beer and are interested in tasting craft beer yourself, I recommend that you try something by the company Hitachino Nest, which is available at most higher-end liquor stores.
