India's biggest engineering exam i.e JEE Main is going to held in January 2020. Through JEE Main candidates get admission in premier institutes such as IITs, NITs, GFITs. NTA is the conducting body of JEE Main under which more than 200 examination centres have been set in India and 9 centres in Abroad for JEE Main 2020. Students who basically clear the 12th board or appearing candidates are eligible for the exam. JEE Main is held twice a year (January & April) from 2019. JEE Main Eligibility Criteria 2020
Before filling the JEE Main application form, candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria otherwise their form will be rejected. Main sectors of the eligibility norms are:
Domicile: Must be an Indian
Education Qualification: 75% marks in 12th board (65% for reserved category students). Only the students from 2018, 2019 and 2020 batch are eligible for JEE Main 2020.
Qualifying Subjects: Must have passed the 12th board with at least five subjects in which compulsory subjects are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology. Choices between Mathematics and Biology are as per the courses such as B.Tech, B.Arch or Biotechnology.
Important Note: Mathematics is no longer the requirement for B.Planning.
JEE Main Application Form
The registration process of JEE Main take place in an online mode. Upon successful registration, candidates fill the application form of JEE Main. The application process for the January session 2020 is over. Earlier the application link was available from 3rd September to 10th October 2019. Students have also got the chance to make the correction in their form if there any.
JEE Main Exam Pattern 2020
NTA has revised the exam pattern and has made some important changes for JEE Main 2020. Now the exam will take place for 300 marks which will consist of the MCQ as well as Numerical Value questions. Each section of the paper will consist of 25 questions with an equal weightage of 100. Each correct answer will fetch 4 marks to the candidates and -1 for the wrong answer and zero for no answer.
JEE Main Syllabus 2020
JEE Main question paper will consist of three sections i.e Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates preparing for the exam must download the JEE Main 2020 syllabus from the official site. Each topic as per is clearly mentioned in the syllabus. Contents in the syllabus are basically from the 11th and 12th class books.
JEE Main Admit Card 2020
NTA is going to release the JEE Main 2020 Hall ticket on 6th December 2019. Candidates who have successfully enrolled themselves for the exam can have the admit card. JEE Main admit card 2020 will be available online thus candidates can download the hall ticket when the link is available by inserting the required credentials.
JEE Main Result 2020
JEE Main exam will commence from 6th to 11th January 2020. After that, the concerned authority will release the JEE Main 2020 Result. The date has been released and the result will be announced on 31st January 2020 for the January session. Candidates can view the result by logging into the account.
JEE Main Counselling 2020
JEE Main counselling will take place after the exam gets over. Counselling is basically held by JoSAA for admission in NITs, IIITs, and GFITs. For the 2020 session, it is likely to take place in July. However, no official statement has been released by the authority relating to the JEE Main counseeling.
