【テヘラン＝松尾博文】イランのハタミ前大統領は8日、6月12日のイラン大統領選挙に立候補する意向を正式に表明した。ハタミ師は対外協調を重視する改革派の代表。選挙には再選を狙う現職のアハマディネジャド大統領の出馬も確実視されている。ハタミ師の出馬宣言で大統領選挙は事実上両者の一騎打ちとなり、結果は米国との関係改善の行方にも影響しそうだ。 ハタミ師は支持者らの集会で「大統領選挙の候補として真剣に臨むことを宣言する」と述べた。1997年から2005年まで大統領を務めたハタミ師は宗教間の和解や対外融和を掲げたが、国内保守派の抵抗やブッシュ米政権のイラン敵視政策などにより目立った成果を上げられなかった。 しかし、イラン国内ではアハマディネジャド大統領の保守強硬路線に反発する層から、知名度の高いハタミ師の次期選挙への出馬を望む声が強まっていた。大統領選挙には改革派からカルビ元国会議長が出馬を表明済み。しかし、改革派票の分散を避けるため、カルビ元議長が立候補を取り下げる可能性がある。
