日本人の活躍が素晴らしいです！！
ＩＪＦのサイトによると、グランドスラムリオデジャネイロの１日目の観客動員数は８０００人だとか。。。現地ブラジルの盛り上がりが伝わって来ます！！
だからこそ怖いＡＷＡＹなんですよね！！
そんな中、昨日の試合７階級のうち６階級で日本人が勝利！！

This time in Rio de Janeiro he could celebrate his first major vitory since 2008, when he got gold in the Paris Grand Slam.

本大会主管のブラジルの柔道連盟は、通常の国際大会の組み合わせの抽選方法に反して、開催国としての自国の選手を優遇した組み合わせ抽選を行ったのが、トーナメント表を見れば一目瞭然です！！

柔道の０４年アテネ五輪１００キロ超級金メダリストの鈴木桂治（２９＝国士舘大教）が１６日、国士舘大の後輩の総合格闘家・石井慧の結婚を祝福した。この日の朝に携帯電話で一報をチェック。「いいこと。海外にそれだけ長くいたら寂しくなりますから」と海外武者修行中にパートナーを得たことを祝った。この日はグランドスラム・リオデジャネイロに向けて出発し「五輪（出場）のポイントもかかっている」と２大会連続の国際大会Ｖを目指す

恩師の斉藤氏 石井の結婚に「びっくりした」
プロ格闘家に転向した石井慧の結婚について、国士舘大時代の恩師、斉藤仁・全柔連強化副委員長は「びっくりした」と目を丸くしながら「思い込んだら一直線の、猪みたいなヤツだから。これで自分の道をまい進してほしい」とエール。大学の先輩にあたる男子１００キロ級の鈴木桂治（国士舘大教）は「海外生活が長いから、寂しかったんじゃないかな」と理解を示していた。

IJF Tunis Grand Prix: Suzuki and Ono lead Japan to the top2010.05.09

The IJF Tunis Grad Prix finished in great style, with Japanese Kenji Suzuki’s ippon in the heavyweight category, what gave him the “Ippon Trophy”. There were 202 ippons in all three days of competition, what means 61% of the contests. Japan finished the weekend leading the table with three gold, two silver and one bronze, followed by France with two gold, two silver and two bronze and Germany with two gold, one silver and three bronze. It was the first qualification tournament for the 2012 Olympic Games and it shared US$ 150.000 prize money among the medal winners. The next IJF major event will be the Rio de Janeiro Grand Slam in the weekend of 22-23 May.
If the two Japanese victories of the day (Suzuki and Takashi Ono, in 90kg), can be considered “normal”, two French judoka performed the biggest surprises of Sunday. In the 100kg division, Frederic Stielegmann beats world ranking leader Takamasa Anai in the quarter-final with a beautiful ouchigari, but finished with the silver medal, with Yahuen Biadulin (BLR) winning gold. And 21-years old Audrey Tcheumeo was on top of the 78kg category, celebrating her first senior title in the career.
“It makes even more motivated to go on. I was very concentrated since the beginning and all went well. The 78kg is very strong in France and I am happy to win”, comments Tcheumeo.
Slovenia Lucia Polavder won her second title in the IJF Tunis Grand Prix, as she was on top there also in 2009. The Beijing 2008 bronze medallist had to fight also against the enthusiastic crowd in the final to defeat Tunisian Nihel Chikhrouhou.
“It was a very good start of the Olympic qualification and I hope it continues like this all the way”, Polavder says.
Friday and Saturday also saw great stories beautiful combats. Coming from the 117th position in the WRL, French Automne Pavia won the 57kg on Saturday, with Claudia Malzahn (63kg) crowned number won again in a World Circuit event after her home victory in the Grand Prix Düsseldorf in a day when the German team had a great performance (two bronze), along with Olympic Champion Ole Bischof, wo got gold in the 81kg. Haruka Tachimoto (70kg) got the only gold for the Japanese woman in Tunis and Ukrainian Volodymir Soroka was first in the 73kg.
On Friday all attention was directed to the 18-years-old Majlinda Kelmendi, who made history in Tunis ty winning the first ever World Circuit medal for Kosovo: gold in the 52kg division. Still in the female divisions, Romanian Alina Dumitru, who won not less than six European titles in her career, got gold in the 48kg. In the male categories, Rishod Sobirov (bronze winner in Olympic Games 2008 and World Championships 2009) got on top of the 60kg by beating Japanese Masaaki Fukuoka in the final, while Rok Draksic (SLO) defeated Miklos Ungvari (HUN) for gold in the 66kg.
