Rep Junelle Cavero, My sister, My kababayan!
Maraming salamat from the deepest place in my heart for bringing the Governor’s Lunar New Year address to our AANHPI community at the State Capitol. What you created was not just a ceremony. It felt like family gathering in a space where our stories, resilience, and brilliance were honored with the dignity they deserve.
As President of the Arizona Asian Chamber of Commerce, I have the privilege of witnessing every day the strength of our people. Though we represent a small percentage of the population, the economic power, cultural richness, entrepreneurial spirit, and civic influence of the AANHPI community are truly unmatched. Our businesses create opportunity. Our traditions build belonging. Our leadership shapes the future. Moments like this affirm that our presence is not only growing, it is essential.
Standing beside our fellow kababayans, our kapatids, and our kuyas reminded me that when one of us rises, we all rise. You did more than organize an address. You opened doors and reminded our community that we belong in every room where decisions are made.
I am incredibly proud of you. Proud to call you family. Proud to serve our community alongside you. The love you show our people is unmistakable, and it echoes far beyond a single event. It strengthens neighborhoods, inspires the next generation, and honors the sacrifices of those who came before us.
Salamat for your heart. Salamat for your leadership. Salamat for always carrying our community forward with courage and grace.
Mahal kita, my sister. Our community shines brighter because of you.
Maraming Salamat Po!
Your brother, Ryan Winkle - President of the Az Asian Chamber of Commerce.
