Are they saying it's time for SQEX/Final Fantasy to leave the RPG genre and go forth some action games, that are currently popular today? 彼らはそれがRPGというジャンルを残したり来たり、現在、今日普及しているいくつかのアクションゲームを、どこへ行くSQEX/ファイナルファンタジーのための時間ですと言っている?どう思う?
とにかく、I'm playing LovePlus+ again! Nothing beats the first time you played it... It was more ドキドキ、but recently, I went on a weekend trip with her. なんとか、楽しかったと難しい。。。It was kinda fun/hard at the same time. You're basically tied with time with her, so you wouldn't miss anything、 and fun because it has some fluffy scenarios :D and wow, pledge of love... なんとなく、夫婦みたい。。。。
Assassin's Creed Rating: 5/11/2013 - Finished game 5/15/2013 - Started writing
You ask me where was I when Assassin's Creed came out, I'm still on the PS2 and it was after 3 yrs I got my PS3 but I was never really interested in AC's gameplay at that point, only after another 3 years, I gave another shot at Assassin's Creed on the PS3.
As much as I wanted to write the usual Story, Gameplay, Sound, and Visual, I'm sadly warning you that this entry is about 50% ranting about this & that don't go well in the game, and yes, I'm 6 years late from writing or even playing this game.
I had a hard time finishing or playing Assassin's Creed not because the gameplay was hard but rather the feelings I have toward the game. I initially played Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines and it was so hard for me that I completely dropped all Assassin's Creed all together.
I just picked up the game once more, maybe because I was intrigue or simply wanting to play some recommendable action/adventure game.
Controls are much more easier compared to the PSP version.
This is my first Open Sandbox game(or so I think), and I'm a bit scared of it to tell you the truth, because I know that I will either loose my patience or get bored at it, and in truth, I did just that. Although I could finish the game in a week if I really had to. Despite being bored or feeling uninspired at time (no, it's not the game, it was me & hormones)and taking some long long breaks, I manage to finish the game, finishing most of the sidequests, except for collecting the flags.
I know this looks kinda a bad review, but these are merely my own feelings at the time of my gameplay
In all truth, it was really nice to hear the voice of one of my favorite actress. Yup, Kristen Bell voiced Lucy Stillman and she actually helped me to be engrossed in the game, as I anticipate every encounter with her.
You play as Desmond Miles, a descendant of an Assassin named Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad. You will later see that Desmond is strapped in a machine called the Animus, a device that can actually access Desmond’s ancestor's memories through your DNA.
Inside the Animus, you become one of Desmond's ancestor, Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, a young and brash assassin, who first only cares about himself and his mission. He is a very skilled assassin, born and raised to become an assassin, he easily rose up the ranks, caring only for his mission. The story goes as you were sent by the leader of the Assassins Al Mualim to retrieve an artifact. During in this mission, you endangered your comrades and defiled your creed, and with this, you were demoted from Master Assassin into an amateur, to relearn the Assassin's Creed.
Game Control Left Stick: movement Right Stick: camera Select: Map L1: Target lock L2: Chase camera R1: High profile status
The directional pad is used to quickly change the equipped weapon Up: Hidden Blade Down: Fists Right: Sword Left: throwing knives/shortblade
The face buttons control different parts of Altair's body Triangle: Head Circle: Empty Hand Square: Weapon Hand X: Legs
Each button will perform a different task depending on the profile status.
Low Profile commands include Triangle: Vision (enters first person view) Circle: Gentle Push (to move through crowds) Square: Attack X: Blend (move more slowly and pass informed guards without alert)
High Profile commands (available by holding the R1 Button) Cicrle: Grab and throw or tackle (depending on movement) Square: Attack X: Sprint (Altair moves quickly adapting to the environment as necessary)
The best thing about being an assassin is stealth killing. Love how you can just walk/blend like a monk, while silently assassinating your target and escape as you blend among the crowd, or simply hide in a hiding spot (haystack or tent). Although, sometimes when your enemies sees where you are hiding, hiding spot is not so effective, so you either run for it or fight to the death.
Exploration. Since it's a sandbox game, you can run all you want on rooftops or streets and climb like a monkey on the side of a building, but do be careful, each time you do some unusual or suspicious actions, the guards take notice and once they do, they will chase you down.
Assassin's Creed have this Social Stealth Status, a Social Status icon is located beside the health bar. White indicates anonymity; Red indicates expose, the guards is on high alert and they will come after you; Yellow indicates Unseen (enemy line of sight was broken; Blue/ Teal indicates Vanishing, meaning either Altair is in hiding; Green indicates Vanished, this is when the guards have given up looking for you. Once this happen it will return back to White for anonymous status.
One unique skill that Altair have is the Eagle Vision, in which it can determine who your informant, friend or foe and even targets are. Usually, Gold color indicates your assassination target, Red indicates your enemies/ guards/soldiers, Blue indicates Allies, White indicates information sources.
Something cool in the game is when you go on the highest point of a city, which is usually a tower, where an eagle awaits, then you sit there and just use your eagle vision, and it gives you a panoramic view and you'll feel like your the king of the place. Another cool thing in the game is the LEAP of FAITH, from high top on a tower (where there's an eagle) or any building that birds gather, you can perform the Leap of Faith. It's basically jumping like you're going to die, but you can jump straight down onto a haystack. So basically, make sure you jump where you can see the haystack, or else your Leap of Faith will surely go to the Leap of Death.
During close combat fight, you can either use your sword, hidden blade, fist or short blade to attack your enemies or use a counterattack for an instant death and free short cutscene.
Swords are powerful attacks, and can break an enemies guard, in a few hits, depending how strong is your weapon.
Sometimes hidden blade is not effective during close combat fights, it's only effective if the enemy was not paying attention or you were able to counter the attack and it does have a lower defense.
Using your fist, means your really not killing them, it's just that you like to brawl, depending who you are brawling with, usually the guards won't get involve if you get into a brawl with some thugs but once you draw any weapons, prepare yourself be bombarded with guards.
Short blades are very effective with multiple enemies, especially if you have mastered counter attacking, it's very swift, in which you can stab each enemy swiftly. Although, it has less power, it compensate with its speed. I personally love using short blade, whenever I'm surrounded by soldiers. Counterattacking an enemy is always and way more effective in winning a fight, but you need good timing.
There are a bunch sidequest you can do, like collecting 100 flags for each city (which was really hard), Save a citizen, beat up someone, or steal an item.
Honestly, I had a hard time understanding the story and even by the end, I think I was too rash as I was playing Assassin's Creed and have not really paid attention to the story. One reason for this is the subtitles issue, somehow I like my games to have subtitles, it is easier for me to follow the flow of the story.
Although, my patience were always tested and I mostly fail on being the silent assassin that I should have been. It was still nice to feel like you are really an assassin. You can just walk towards a guard unnoticed and kill him and just blend with the crowd and next thing you know, no one knew who killed who.
One of the annoying thing was the constant people chasing you, whenever you pass by them as you travel from one city to another and the freezing and loading time were a bit messed up.
SPOILERS The game ends abruptly, as Desmond acquire Altair's Eagle Vision due to the bleeding effect. This was one of the "What the hell/fuck" moments you will get from Assassin's Creed. Play Assassin's Creed 2 if you want to know what happens next.
9/12/13: I'm actually quite surprised that I was able to write a longer blog/ review after 4 months that is.
Final Verdict: Indeed, I have some issues on Assassin's Creed during my gameplay and that would explain my rating so don't be discourage just give it a try, like I did. Nevertheless, the game truly gives you a chance to explore a vast world, as you assassinate through and blend through the crowd. I might say that this was one of the powerful 1st PS3 games that was release. Story-wise, I think AC is great, somehow very intriguing, but in the end will just truly get you and you'd definitely want to play the next one. It's all about patience & stealth with this game. Generally, you can finish the game story really quickly, but it will really take sometime if you decide to finish all of its sidequest or collect all the things you need. I really recommend this game to people have a lot of patience, loves sandbox games, and third-person view action adventure games.
As you know, -Ber month has finally arrived... ah, I can smell the holiday season. 休日は来ている!やほー!ああ!クリスマスも! 楽しみに!Christmas is coming... and I'm pretty sure PS4 & Xbox one will be out by that time. Speaking of consoles, which consoles are you going to buy this coming holiday? そういえば、休日は来ているんだね、PS4とXbox Oneこの休暇をリリース予定。どっちがいいかな?
In all truth, I might wait until a year or until all of the issues in the new console will be solved before I buy a console. Maybe I can buy the game or maybe not...
I've been looking through my ameblog and saw a lot of the games that I was anticipating had already came out, Tomb Raider, Last of Us, Time & Eternity & Tales of Xillia. I never realized that I waited for some of them over a year for their releases. σ(^_^;)
So what games do I anticipate? Of course, Lightning Returns is on the top of the list, Beyond: Two Souls is out by October, most of the remakes is very much an anticipation for me from Final Fantasy X and Tales of Symphonia Chronicles. Tales of Xillia 2 will be release by next year as well, and there will be a new Assassin's Creed this holiday. So I still have a long list of stuff to buy in regards to games....
Lately, I'm not only a game collector, I'm also action figure collector now! 最近、私はゲームコレクターのみならず、私は今もアクションフィギュアコレクターだ! (>_<) I'm mostly collecting Play Arts Action Figure and I'm anticipating a few items like Resident Evil's Leon Kennedy & Helena Harper, Street Fighter's Sakura & of Course, Lightning in Lightning Returns!
One big problem though my budget is really running low. I'm anticipating a very big spending spree from the holidays and an upcoming trip by next year so I really can't do spending spree on my hobbies as of late. During the 2nd quarter of the year, I started spending my salary into my unnecessary hobbies... but now, I really have to save or else....(x_x;)お金。。。
Regarding upcoming reviews here in ameblo. I have decided to post my reviews. Sorry it's going to be a bit unprofessional and bias.
私はレビューを投稿することにしました。申し訳ありませんが、それは少し専門外とバイアスだ。
Lazy Syndrome...
Regarding AKB, I'm still keeping tabs on them from time to time... Yes, My Oshimen, Kasai Tomomi has graduated, even my same birthday, Itano Tomomi also graduated... not only that Mariko & Sayaka has just graduated as well. そう、私のAKB推しメン、河西智美卒業しました。同じの誕生日、板野友美も卒業しました。なんとか、今年たくさんのメンバー卒業しましたね。。。Everytime someone graduates from AKB, it seems like it's a mix feelings for me, it's sad because their leaving AKB, but happy at the same time because I know they will now step up to a new level in their career.
Oh, I should confess, I totally have a girl crush on Tomomi Kasai , beacuse everytime I see her post, I just thought that's she's so cute and beautiful. やっぱり、河西智美大好き! and I'm happy to hear that she will be having a fan club herself, that goes with Sayaka as well!
Happy!
Anyways, That's it for today, the caffeine just died down... (^_^;)

Catherine is a story about a 32-year old Vincent Brooks, who has a long-time girlfriend named Katherine, who wishes to take their relationship into the next level. The next day, he finds himself waking up in his bed with a blonde beautiful girl who is also named Catherine. Pressured from work, Katherine wanting to get married, and the shocking infidelity with Catherine, Vincent starts to have nightmares, where he is taken into a world, where the main goal is to climb up the cubes to survive. In his nightmare, he meets a lot of sheeps who are trying to survive as well by climbing to the top towards the Cathedral, where there is freedom.
Please be warned that this is a rated M (18+) game, not because it's bloody and gory, but also it's very sexually suggestive. So if your a parent and want to just play the game, please not infront of the kids. Thank you!
Game synopsis (from everywhere) As Vincent, a man recently succumbed to the irresistible beauty of the game's titular diversion, players find themselves swept into a treacherous love triangle. Catherine's core themes those of free will, of the delicate nature of relationships and the choices we make within them, marry perfectly with the intense, terrorfilled gameplay that serves to accurately reflect Vincent's growing sense of anxiety. It is an experience wholly unlike any to come before it, and is certain to leave gamers talking and thinking about Vincent's tribulations long after the credits have rolled.
The Horrors of Love: Vincent's waking fears, doubts, pressures, and growing guilt about commitment and fidelity now gleefully follow him into his dreams, manifesting as horribly disfigured monsters and a ticking clock.
Between a Rock and a Soft Place: The player must navigate Vincent through heavy moral decisions. As in real life, hardly anything is black and white. What is the value of honesty? What is the right thing to do? Either way, someone's going to get hurt. Worse yet, someone could die.
The Nightmare of Your Dreams: Famed character artist Shigenori Soejima and master composer Shoji Meguro create sights and sounds unlike anything else. As unforgettable and original as the game's narrative, Catherine's visual direction and musical score define and perfectly complement Vincent's terrifying ascent into the dizzying perils of love.
Escape With or From a Friend: Local competitive and cooperative multiplayer modes, in addition to leaderboards, ensure that the many thrills and horrors of racing through twisted stages can be enjoyed by more than one player and add hours of extra gameplay to the overall experience."
The game has multiple endings, in which you can choose between Catherine or Katherine, they both have good, bad & true ending, depending how you answer the "Between a Rock and a Soft Place."
If you think about it, the gameplay seems quite simple, you climb up on a block/cube and get to top and you win, on easy mode you can always redo the blocks that you moved. If you're only after the story then easy mode is the best for you. The puzzles are quite challenging in each level.
Sounds, the music is awesome. I definitely love the theme, it's funky. The music is well integrated, and it definitely helps your sense of urgency to climb up on those cube to survive. To prove my point, mute your tv and see if you can be more focused when it's muted or tensed when the music is on. Voice acting wise, I don't know about the Japanese voice acting but who would question this? Everybody loves the original voice actors as always, but I might say, I love to credit the English voice actors and actress for this games as well, like Troy Baker, Laura Bailey and Michelle Ruff. Personally, they were portrayed very well that they definitely brought out each of their characters.
Visually (Graphics), The anime-themed is an A++ for me, since I am a JRPG fan and I don't know about you, but I confess I was seduce*ehem* attracted to the game's cover which is Catherine and those mounds. I sound so perverted...(>_<) Ok, it's very seducing and even the trailers were seducing and intriguing. Well, there is one particular weirdness that did not sit with me. The big ol Monster trying to kill you when you're climbing up, the weird baby and some other weird stuff, but there was one particular monster that actually looks too vulgar...
Do you see what I mean? or My green mind is playing with me?
Opinion:
I have to confess, that this game is completely seducing.(///∇//) Well, what do you expect from a game that that's their main theme. Catherine is surely seducing most of the times, but somehow, Katherine is also charming in her own way. Of course, I chose the path with Katherine. I don't know why, for so many times, I wanted to choose Catherine, she was so tempting but as time goes by, I slowly fell for Katherine's charm instead. Maybe 1 reason I felt that way towards Katherine is that she feels more real than the very alluring Catherine.
One interesting point in the game for me is that Catherine tackles relationship issues, not just Vincent's relationship with Katherine but everyone else in Stray Sheep Bar. Although I'm not good in relationships, it's quite true that this game does tackle about relationship issues, such as "Infidelity", marriage, anxiety and all those quality that makes life & a relationship go through the roller coaster. I feel like my morality was being tested as well in the game as you are being asked question regarding what your opinion on relationships and etc. There's no right or wrong so just follow your heart when choosing. ^_^ Gameplay-wise it was really challenging for me that I spend hours to figure out how to climb those blocks but in some stages I simply climb through it all. I guess it does depend on how your brain works huh.
So if you like puzzle games, you might definitely want to try this game, or if you were just seduced by Catherine, like me, feel free to still play the game. Please see the game trailers, and don't comment just "what the fuck," instead download a demo from PSN (if it is still available and play it!
Oh a LAST FAIR WARNING! Again, Don't play it in front of your kids or in front of your parents...
