Please be assured that this material is not foreign matter. The fibrous material represents a very small amount of subcutaneous hair follicle that is incidental to the preparation of lamb meal.

We guarantee that it is a natural component of lamb meal, the source of high quality lamb protein that is the primary ingredient in Evo lamb based foods. In no way is the lamb hair harmful to your dog.

Since Natura is an “all natural” pet food manufacturer, we believe in minimal processing. Therefore, we do not emulsify, hydrolyze, or chemically treat our lamb meal in any way as some manufacturers do to change the appearance.

We limit ourselves to strictly physical screening methods, which we have increased to the finest triple screening level.

We believe that through the extra screening process we can minimize the actual amount of lamb hair in the Evo Red Meat Small Bites.

Hair is inherent in the lamb meal and receiving controls are in place to monitor and reject if it is out of specification.
