Saitama Pref., 20 August 2025

This afternoon, as yesterday, it was very hot indeed and I dared to go on foot to the supermarket which is situated about 1km west of my living place. Having returned home safely (for going out on an extremely hot day like this can be a great danger to my life), I'm now feasting thanking God for making it possible for me to do so. Of course I don't take it for granted at all that I can enjoy drinking and, as is usually the case with me when I'm alone, I gave the Lord's Prayer before refreshing myself with beer and others.

God, in Whom most people in Japan don't believe but in Whom I firmly believe, is so gracious to me that I really can't help worshipping Him as if I were a mere child. I just can't imagine living without belief in Him. I know I'm a rarity here in Japan, but see how things are outside this archipelago in the Far East! Roughly a third of the world population are Christians and I'm not at all a rarity once outside Japan.

My good people here in Japan, don't be afraid of becoming rarities if you are sure of yourselves. The ultimate truth that God exists is the only foundation upon which we humans as His children can stand stably. Atheism will get us nowhere. It will only make you waver and consciously or unconsciously stand with Satan. See what happened to Japan during WWII. Now's the time for you to learn from history.
