So “basketball wives” is one of my favorite reality shows and everything, but even though I am a big fan I can also be quite critical. The first season is when I first began to watch the show and at that time there was only one woman who was actually married to a basketball player and she was going through a divorce. The rest of the women on the show were all ex-wives, fiancé’s, or ex-girlfriends. I think that because of the title “Basketball Wives” many people like me were under the impression that there would be actual wives on the show who are married to basketball players who still play. While this confused me for the couple of episodes it was only shortly after that when it all began to make sense to me. These women are married to any basketball season players because they are all crazy, duh. The majority of the women on the show are ages 30 and above, and while this may seem like a mature age, their actions prove otherwise. These women are fighting each other, gossiping, and talking behind each other’s back; all the things that young girls did it high school. Maybe that’s why the show has no wives, because their husbands didn’t want to be married to a bunch of high schoolers. For the sake of the show, they should at least change the name to EX BALLER’S WIVES or something like that because of the new season, there is not one lady on the show is actually married to a basketball player. And now, what’s even funnier is that a couple of the “ EX BALLER’S WIVES” are now starting to date football players. Being that I also play football I guess it’s not the worst thing that could happen, but since when do football players get rebounds?
