It's really the time for me to reflect and rethink of the options wisely.
Whilst it could be said that perseverance is the key, and that has always been my philosophy in life, some matters just simply could not be brushed off as something trivial; for the results of which have left lingering thoughts in my mind.
Recently, the words of Marcus Aurelius have remained etched into my mind.
I cannot really recall the specific wordings he used, but to summarize the rough idea of it, he claimed in his book that humans ought to do something as nature intended them to do and not goes against it.
There are probably many interpretations that could be drawn from it, and from my point of view, he seems to be indicating that different people have different skillsets and they ought to uncover and maximize their potential.
Well, that sounds a little too deep and arbituary, for how can one measure the immeasurable and intangible?
But honestly, we all know that feeling, when we are really in our zone, our mind's in ecstacy and everything seems to flow smoothly.
There'd be no dullness and spiraling endless fear.
Adrenaline, yes, for there's a thrill to all the risks that we take, and there are things that we have to learn as we go through the various trials life presents to us.
For me, I find joy in helping others with my own skills while being comfortable with knowing how far I can improve.
Unfortunately, reality does not go as one wishes. Or perhaps, that's the result that Marcus Aurelius meant when he spoke of the consequences in bouts where people goes against the nature.
Rethink, rethink and rethink.
Regardless of the choices I make, I just hope that it's not one that I'd regret.
